  Rainfall Disrupts Opening Ceremony of the 20th National Sports Festival By Niyi Busari Heavy downpour at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium could disrupt the Opening Ceremony of the 20th National Sports Festival, BSNSports.com.ng reports. According to the program of event, Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is scheduled to declare the event open at 7:00 pm. The heavy rainfall which started at 6pm stalled the progress of events which started with the Timi Dakolo entertaining the already seated guests, athletes, and journalists at 5:35pm. Samuel Ogbemudia stadium wears a new look and the stage in the center of the pitch is top notch, however, the heavy rainfall may disallowed spectators from enjoying the full package of what Edo State government and Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports have in stock for them. Vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo who was tipped to represent Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari has been in Edo State earlier in the day to declare the Edo 2020 open. It is yet to be seen if he will be at the stadium to perform the duty.
